This hybrid does not occur naturally in Nfld., as one the parent, Populus deltoides, does not occur in Nfld. Originally, the name Populus ×jackii was applied to P. balsamifera × P. deltoides hybrids reported from AB to eQC, while the name Populus ×gileadensis was applied to hybrids of the same parentage east of ON.]
