[Arceuthobium pusillum is parasitic on Picea mariana and other conifers in wNfld. (Bouchard et al. 1991), and is responsible for the formation of witches' brooms. Although the Flora of North America (2016) treats this genus as belonging to the Family Viscaceae, Canadensys (VASCAN) follows the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group, which has not yet changed the family name from Loranthaceae to Viscaceae.]
