[Sagittaria latifolia is known from muddy freshwater shores in wNfld. (Bouchard et al., 1991). Two early reports of Sagittaria latifolia are known from wNfld., I.J. Green collected a specimen in 1975 (SWGC) from the Humber River Bridge, Deer Lake, while H. Mann documented a Stephenville Crossing location in 1986 (H. Mann 1986). Tubers from plants at the Stephenville Crossing site were subsequently planted at Rapid Pond, and further dispersed in the greater Corner Brook area by the Trapper's Association to improve muskrat habitat (H. Mann 2007). The population of Sagittaria latifolia at the Humber River bridge is also still thriving.]
