[Carex arcta was last collected in 1929, where it was known from only one subalpine meadow on the Doctor Hills, nwNfld. (Bouchard et al., 1991). Labrador reports were made by W.B. Schofield (Goose Bay, 1949, DAO) and I. Hustick and P. Kallio (Mud Lake, 1963; Goose Bay, 1967, CAN).]
