[Ernest Rouleau collected a specimen of Carex projecta on Glover Island in 1951, which was revised in 2005 by Peter Ball to the more temperate species, Carex tribuloides. More recently, G. Hall has reviewed this specimen and believes it is in fact a specimen of Carex projecta, which has "heads that are particularly well-endowed and inflorescences that are rather congested, but with typical projecta sheaths" (J.Maunder, pers comm. from G. Hall, May 2015).]
