[Kirschner (2002c) reports Juncus conglomeratus as native to Eurasia, but probably introduced in NA. He also states that it's a slight calcifuge and often becomes an aggressive invasive species when introduced into new areas. It can be differentiated from other taxa in the J. effusus group by the combination of cespitose growth form, conspicuous stem ridges, and capsules that terminate in an acute to retuse apex (Kirschner 2002c).]
