[Previously, there was confusion as to whether or not Euphrasia arctica was a distinct species and if it was present in NL, but Volume 17 of Flora of North America (FNA) now recognizes this species, with a range that includes northern Ontario, insular Newfoundland, as well as the Faroe, Orkney, and Shetland Islands in the North Atlantic. Due to this confusion, the common name arctic eyebright was misapplied to Euphrasia frigida, it is now (appropriately) being applied to Euphrasia arctica subsp. arctica.]
