[Papaver somniferum was reported from Barr'd Harbour, Fogo Island: GH (Scoggan 1978) and the Avalon Peninsula (FNA v3), as well as a 2006 report from Trout River by John Maunder.  Occasional garden escapes may occur, but naturalized populations have not been reported from NL.]
