[Mature trees of Salix alba and S. alba var. vitellina have been observed in several yards, (Todd Boland, pers. comm., Oct. 2018 and observations by S.J. Meades).  Salix alba 'Pendula' is the weeping willow commonly planted in northern Canada since the common weeping willow (Salix babylonica L.) is much less hardy in the north (Farrar 1995) and does not survive in Canada.]
