[Carex marina does not occur in NL; reports of this species from NL were likely based on misidentifications of other Carex species, possibly Carex glareosa.  Scoggan (1978) notes the name Carex marina had been misapplied previously to Carex glareosa var. amphigena Fernald, a synonym of Carex glareosa.]
