[Alopecurus arundinaceus was originally known in Canada and the US only from historical collections in the Codroy Valley, swNfld. and Mt. Pearl, eNfld., see I.J.Green (1944), Rhodora 46:386-387.  In the Grass Manual on the Web, NL is no longer included in the range of this agricultural weed, which has a spreading distribution in the western US, with 1 distribution dot in BC.  Alopecurus arundinaceus is now excluded from the NL flora.]
