[The first verified NL reports of Crepis tectorum are from Pasadena, wNfld. (SWGC), and Goose Bay & Labrador City, Lab. (SWGC), reported by H. Mann & M. Collins, 1998. Though originating from hydroseeding, Crepis tectorum now appears to be well established in Labrador, H. Mann, pers. comm., 2000. The Nfld. report is based on a single Crepis tectorum plant (collected) from a newly hydroseeded roadbank (H. Mann, pers. comm., 2000), but this species appears to be ephemeral in insular Nfld. In July 2006, Picris hieracioides was reported from a single vacant lot in Goose Bay by Rare Plant & ELC teams (Lower Churchill Hydro project); plants identical to this species have now fully naturalized along many roadsides in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. However, examination of specimens by Luc Brouillet, collected in 2017 by S.J. Meades and W.J. Meades, have shown that the original identification was incorrect and reports are now referred to Crepis tectorum).]
