[While most reports of D. hickeyi from Nfld. have been referred to D. dendroideum (see notes above with D. dendroideum), in 1881, Wagner & Wagner verified a 1908 collection by Eames & Godfrey (CONN) from the Bay of Island (J. Maunder, pers. comm., May 1-3, 2015). Annotated collections at MT include 6 specimens of D. hickeyi (L'Anse aux Meadows, Terra Nova NP, Greenspond, Pilley's Island, and Holyrood), as well as 2 additional collections (NFM) from Little Soldier's Pond, Avalon Peninsula, eNfld., and Pilley's Isl., NDB, neNfld., were annotated to D. hickeyi.]
