[Initially, Cherleria marcescens was known only from western Nfld. serpentine barrens (Bouchard et al. 1991, reported as Minuartia marcescens). In 1999, its range was extended to serpentine outcrops in cNfld., L. Hermanutz and H. Mann, pers. comm. (NFM).
