[Parents: Diphasiastrum alpinum × Diphasiastrum sitchense]

[=Lycopodium alpinum L. var. planiramulosum Takeda]

[Diphasiastrum ×takedae is reported in Canadensys from Nfld. based on 2 collections (both MT) by A. Bouchard, S.G. Hay, et al. from the Long Range Mts., Gros Morne Ntl. Park: nPlateau above Western Brook Pond (1973) and Big Level (1993). It is also known from Labrador, based on one collection (MT) by E. Rouleau from the Mealy Mts. (1963), central Labrador (Brouillet et al. 2012). Since Diphasiastrum ×takedae was not described until 1992, it is possible that more annotations of alpine Diphasiastrum collections of either parent species may prove to be D. ×takedae, which could expand its range within NL.]
