[The cultivar 'Vossii' is the common horticultural plant sold in nurseries throughout Newfoundland. This hybrid was named for its breeder, Anthony Waterer (IPNI). The authorities of this hybrid are often listed as (Wettst.) Dippel, but Rosenthal and Bermann's 1884 name has priority over Wettstein's name, published in 1891.]
