[Polygonum oxyspermum subsp. raii is known from brackish sandy and gravelly beaches in coastal Nfld. (Bouchard et al. 1991). The report of Polygonum oxyspermum subsp. raii from seLab. by J.M. Macoun, 1895, is based on P. fowleri (CAN): Scoggan 1978. Two immature specimens (NFM) from Northwest River and Gosling Lake, Lab. may be correct, but more mature specimens are needed for confirmation.]
