[Previously classified as historically present (SH) in Nfld. (Bouchard et al., 1991), Calypso bulbosa was located at three sites in the mid 1990s: Burnt Cape, Cook's Harbour, and the Port au Port Peninsula (Meades 1994a). Some of the historic locations for C. bulbosa include Eddie's Cove East (Fernald 1933:60), Doctor Hill, and Barr'd Harbour Hill (Fernald 1926: 125). A recent location in swNfld., from near the Cape Anguille lighthouse, reported by Anne English and verified by H. Mann, was added in 2017. Reports of C. bulbosa from near Cape Norman have not been verified. There are no verified reports of C. bulbosa from Labrador. A specimen (NFM) collected by Ian Goudie, C. Jones, and M. McKenna (2000) from the Fig Lake area, SW of Goose Bay, identified as Calypso bulbosa, was corrected to Corallorhiza trifida (N. Djan-Chekar, pers. comm. 2018), while a specimen (GH) of Calypso bulbosa from seLabrador is actually from the Côte Nord, eQuébec.]
