[This European introduction was first discovered in St. John's, eNfld., in 1994 (Clase, 1995). The population has persisted and is spreading locally in the St. John's area as well as within the Corner Brook/Humber River area, where it is spreading quite rapidly (J. Maunder, pers. comm., Apr. 2015).]
