[In Nfld., Cystopteris montana was previously known from a single 1924 collection near Savage Cove (Bouchard et al., 1991). It was recently relocated from Yankee Point in 2007 by R. LeBlond and M. Primack (J. Maunder 2008, DFNL), nwNfld. A recent collection from seLabrador was made by Diane Allen and Paul Hines in 2012 (DFNL) (J. Maunder, pers. comm., May 3, 2015). An additional report of a collection of Cystopteris montana in Nfld. by P.M. Brown have yet to be confirmed.]
