[A naturalized population of Thermopsis montana, growing in an abandoned lot in St. John's Nfld. (MT), had persisted for at least 25 years, but this site was recently destroyed to build townhouses (J. Maunder, Digital Flora). However, 3 new well-established population of what appears to be Thermopsis montana var. ovata have been documented from the Trepassey area, St. Catherine's, and Bishops Falls.]
