[A naturalized population of Thermopsis montana, growing in an abandoned lot in St. John's Nfld. (MT), had persisted for at least 25 years, but this site was recently destroyed to build townhouses (J.Maunder, Digital Flora). However, 2 new well-established population of what appears to be Thermposis montana var. ovata has been documented from Trepassey and Bishops Falls. Verification of the identification will occur next summer.]
