[Dryopteris expansa is known in Nfld. from the St. Anthony area (Britton 1976), nwNfld., as well as exposed headlands in southwestern Nfld.  Two Labrador reports in the MT database originate from wLab. (L. Brouillet, pers comm., Dec. 2016). This diploid species is considered to be one of the parent species of Dryopteris campyloptera (FNA 2:287).]
