[In Nfld., Oxalis montana was originally found in a single sheltered valley on the south coast of the Island (Bouchard et al. 1991). More recently, is was discovered at two locations in western Newfoundland (Trout River area and near Chimney Cove) by Michael Burzynski and Anne Marceau. In 2006, Labrador populations were first relocated by Jacques-Whitford field crew members Brett Keeping and Mike Crowell during the Lower Churchill Hydro Development surveys (Minaskuat Ltd. 2007).]
